Prismatic Defender® started in New York in 2017 with two best friends, a lot of trading card games, and the idea that card sleeves don’t always have to look so basic.
We grew up collecting Pokémon, playing Yu-Gi-Oh!, and eventually building far too many Magic: The Gathering decks. After months of testing our first holographic sleeves, we brought them to the Magic Grand Prix in Washington, DC. Players understood the idea immediately. They wanted protection, but they also wanted their decks to have some personality.
What began in garages and convention booths grew into a full product line, a warehouse, and a brand carried by game stores and distributors around the world. Along the way, we acquired another accessories brand and became a major supplier to TCGplayer’s headquarters, two milestones that showed us Prismatic Defender® had grown into something much bigger than a side project.
These days, Prismatic Defender® is run full time from the Cleveland area, with nearly every part of the business handled in-house, from product development and inventory to customer service, wholesale, and the occasional warehouse disaster. Our products are for collectors, Commander players, kitchen-table regulars, and anyone who puts a little of themselves into what they bring to the table.
We take the work seriously, but the point has always been simple: make products players and collectors can trust, with more ways to express themselves. Holographic Card Sleeves are still at the center of what we do, but the lineup has grown to include Holographic Perfect Fits, Standard and Japanese-size Matte Card Sleeves, Deck Boxes, Penny Sleeves, Toploaders, and other TCG accessories.
