Prismatic Defender® was founded in September of 2017 by two lifelong best friends, Jared and Rich. Like many kids, our love for the hobby started in childhood with sports cards and evolved into a collection obsession with Pokemon and Yu-Gi-Oh! For a few years, we were competitive Yu-Gi-Oh! players.
The ultimate discovery of Magic: The Gathering reignited our passion for trading card games. After building collections and competing in various formats of MTG, the idea of Prismatic Defender® finally dawned upon us.
Through months of rigorous testing and fine-tuning, the brand debuted in 2017 at one of the largest Magic: The Gathering events in the United States, the Grand Prix in Washington DC. The enthusiastic response and positive feedback were overwhelming, confirming that our vision was becoming a reality.

In 2020, Prismatic Defender® expanded their offering by acquiring a well-known brand, Oracle Inserts, to provide even more options for customizing trading card collections. Oracle Inserts had designed a holographic insert that slides into sleeves in front of the card, giving it a foil appearance. These inserts are still available in Gear, Fire, Skull, and Alpha designs!
In 2021, we became a major supplier for TCGplayer Headquarters and their shipping accessory needs.
